June 4th Museum Special Exhibition
After operating for two years, the June 4th Museum was closed on 12 July 2016 because of litigation by the owners corporation of the building in which it was located. In spite of its closure, our job of publicizing the historical truth does not stop.We are now searching for a larger space and have started a crowdfunding campaign for the new museum. (Hang Seng Bank Account: 368-286498-001; check payable to the “Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China")
Following the opening of the micro June 4th Museum at the Victoria Park New Year’s Market in February, the Alliance continues with the June 4 Museum Special Exhibition.
Location: Jockey Club Creative Arts Center, 2nd Floor, L205-208
Address: 30 Pak Tin Street, Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon
Date: 30 April – 15 June 2017
Opening hours: Daily from 12 noon to 7 pm

The special exhibition introduces the history of the 1989 pro-democracy movement and the June 4 massacre in an interactive way and encourages the visitor to think about the relationship between June 4, the individual, Hong Kong and China. We take history as a lesson to discuss how to build a fair and just society.
The museum welcomes schools and groups to make an appointment to visit. We will arrange tour guides to help visitors explore the spirit of the 1989 pro-democracy movement , the people’s pursuit of justice, and the situation currently faced by the family members of June 4 victims.
